Frequently asked questions
Simple. We want new members to understand the group and know what to expect before joining. As we discuss under the rules section of the FAQ's, our group is not a super-competitive, buy-the-rules group. We're as much about having a good time as we are about golf. It would not be fair to the long time members, nor to the new member if newcomers began trying to change the nature of what we have been for over thirty years.
Our webmaster will take your information, mostly your email and telephone number, and add you to our website with member privileges. This means you'll be able to log into the site to sign up to play each week, and you'll begin getting our communications. The website also provides ways you can communicate with the Pairing Coordinators as well as each other.
The website will send out a notification when you are added asking you to set up a password. Please go ahead and do that because the only way you can register is to be a member of the site and therefore, the group.
To set your new password
1) Go to the website and click the menu dropdown menu on your mobile device, otherwise you should see a log-in link at the top of the web page on your computer. This image shows the mobile version.
2) Next click on Log in (iPhone screen shown below)
3) The click on "Forgot my Password". This will result in you getting an email with a password reset link. MAKE SURE TO USE THE SAME EMAIL FOR THE RESET LINK AS YOU RECEIVED THE INVITATION ON.
Easy. When you indicate you want to join one of our Coordinators can add you to the website. You'll get a notice when you have been added. Our second mailing list on Mailchimp is updated separately. Normally that is done at the same time, but since it is a manual process...mistakes are made. Let us know if you are not getting your emails.
