We Need Help
One of our current Pairing Coordinators has withdrawn from that role as he is unable to continue. We thank Doug and are grateful for all the support he’s given to this group over the years. Without volunteers like Doug we cannot survive.
With Doug gone we’re down to only three of us, all from Kingwood, doing weekly course coordination and pairings. We need at least one person to step forward to pick up some work and fill in as backup.
The coordinator’s job includes:
In the Fall (now): Scheduling the golf course for the coming year.
During the year: Coordinating with the course pro shop for the following week.
On Monday: preparing that week’s pairings, establishing the rules and printing cards. You’ll also notify the club pro shop of how many golfers are coming and send them a copy of the pairings.
On Tuesday: show up early and set up the carts and make sure everyone knows the rules for that day.
this job is absolutely critical and we can’t play each week without someone doing it. Our systems are designed, and have evolved over the years to automate what we can.
